Encumbrance Overview
This course provides an overview for the registration of Encumbrances submitted to Alberta Energy and Minerals for registration.  The course explores the different roles and form types required to create, amend, submit and view registered documents.
Prompt Payment and Construction Lien, Certificate of Lis Pendens and Discharge of Prompt Payment and Construction Liens​
This course describes the process for registering a prompt payment and construction lien, ​​​relating to Crown minerals as a claim for payment registered for work done or materials furnished by a contractor. The registration of a certificate of lis pendens or full/partial discharge of a prompt payment and construction lien​ is also explained.
Security Notice, Assignment of Security Interest and Discharge of Security Notice
This course describes the process for registering a security notice, relating to a Crown mineral agreement or Geothermal Lease, when the lease or licence is used as collateral to secure a debt or loan, as well as assignment of security interest and full/partial discharge of security notice​.
Certified Copy of Encumbrance
This course describes the process for submitting a request for a certified copy of encumbrance.​
