Mineral Royalty Form Submission enables clients to fill in and submit their royalty forms via ETS.

Forms

​Alberta collects royalties from production of its minerals, royalty reporting and payment is required on production under lease agreements. Requirements are set by regulation. Requirements are stated in legislation, with additional interpretation and instructions proved in Information Letters and Information Bulletins. The following forms must be used to submit royalties through ETS.

Coal Royalty Forms - The following forms must be used to submit royalty reports through ETS, for reporting production and calculating royalty on Alberta-owned coal produced in the location of a coal lease. 

Coal 1. Sub-Bituminous Coal Monthly Production Report
for Crown coal production, due on or before the last day of themonth following production month.

Coal 2. Sub-Bituminous Coal Estimated Annual Production Report
for Crown coal production, due on or before Dec. 31 before upcoming calendar year. This form must be submitted by mail or email. This form cannot be submitted on ETS.

Coal 3. Bituminous Coal Monthly Royalty Report
for Crown coal production, due on or before the last day of the month following the production month.

Coal 4. Bituminous Coal Estimated Annual Royalty Report
for Crown coal production, due on or before December 31 before the upcoming production calendar year.

                  

Coal 5. Bituminous Coal Annual Royalty Report and Schedules
for Crown coal production, due on or before March 31 following the year of production. Coal 5's cannot be submitted through ETS at this time.

Metallic and Industrial Minerals Royalty Forms - The following 3 must be used to submit royalties through ETS, all reports are due on or before the last day of the month following the production quarter. For royalty rates and other details, please refer to Minerals Royalty Information.

​Quarriable Minerals Production and Royalty Report
Required quarterly on production and royalties payable to the Crown, and/or to declare and confirm no production for the calendar year.

​Placer Minerals Production and Royalty Report
For those quarters in which placer mineral sale or disposition occurs; and to report annually if no production/sale occurs. For more information please refer to Information Bulletin 2002-02 .

​Salt Production and Royalty Report
Required quarterly on production and royalties payable to the Crown, and/or to declare and confirm no production for the calendar year.
